Rene' Palmer Armstrong is a native Texas who was born and raised in Texas City. Her working career was mainly at universities which ranged from being a veterinary medicine counselor to supporting the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Virginia Tech. She is finally living her dream of creating art in various methods, varying from fusing glass, painting on canvas, and writing literary works.
After tackling a 4 1/2-year major project of writing a book detailing the life of a WWII pilot in the jungles of New Guinea, Wings and a Ring, she decided to write a book about an encounter she had with a small, green tree frog. The result has given Rene' much joy when she sees the excitement of young readers as they take a ride with Gwendolyn on her perilous adventure.
Rene' is available to share her books with your group and explain the process of writing, encouraging people to learn to love to write and to follow their dreams. Her presentations are free unless it entails traveling more than 100 miles from her home or an overnight stay.
